Today we watched the Michael & Tiffany TVE YouTube channel to learn more about their home buying experience in The Villages, FL. We watched the following:

What we learned from these videos:

  • We will need seasonal attire. Another video of Halloween in The Villages plus the “Christmas in The Villages” video show that seasonal attire is a must-have for the days leading up to a holiday. Perhaps we will need to begin collecting apparel for all the holidays?
  • We were originally planning on buying our new home in The Villages in advance of leaving Minnesota and then driving down to our new home. We were even thinking we could do our new home closing remotely. However, we could really feel the emotions and the ceremonial aspect of closing in person when watching the “Closing Day!” video. Now we are thinking of going back to the concept of selling our Minnesota house, driving to Florida, and renting while we arrange for our new home.
  • It is going to be a LONG drive for me to go from our new home to band rehearsals in the northern-most areas of The Villages. Probably around 30 minutes. Not really what I had planned when I found The Villages in the first place. I was trying to avoid a long drive. It will now be further away than it currently is for me. Bummer.
