We watched the most recent You Tube post from Michael and Tiffany today. The topic was budget and how much they spent in their first month of living in The Villages. While I know we are going to be OK, it did raise concerns about the accuracy of our current budget estimates. First, they talked about how most if not all insurance companies require homeowners to re-roof every 7 – 15 years to maintain insurance. This is a significant expense we did not account for at this frequency. Second, their electrical and water bills were nearly double the estimates from The Villages. I think I’ll need to revisit our spreadsheet to correct for these items.
